Watch Eric Salas demonstrate how to take a show dog that will not behave or stand on a table and correct this problem. The solution for this problem is the first step in fixing; gaiting problems, stacking issues, pulling on a lead, pulling away from judges. Many videos available on www.EricSalas.net
Eric is available for private and group training workshops, in-home animal behavior sessions and as a guest speaker.

The beautiful song at the end is called “The Bridge” and is one of the new songs from the legendary Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame artist Roger Fisher Founder and former lead guitar player for the band Heart Please visit his website at www.RogerFisher.com

  2. This was great, thanks, I been tryin to find out about "marcus varro dog training" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried – Cidlerna Barking Banisher – (just google it ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my brother in law got cool success with it.

  6. This video was my introduction to Eric Salas and from then on, I was desperate to attend one of his workshops. I managed this toward the end of last year (I think!) and it was one of the best things I did. I am now going to try for a follow up session at some point when he's back in the UK. If you're wondering how worthwhile his workshops are, then I assure you, they are.

  7. I am just about to get started on training in just over a week but I want to make sure I get the correct lead-where can I buy the one used on the CKCS here? My boy is also a CKCS and highly spirited… to say the least LOL 😂 Also is there a video that shows how to use the lead correctly up close? Eric Salas your videos just may save me so I can correctly train my dog!!!

  10. People should remember that your dog did not choose you. You chose to make it a part of your family and life. Your dog doesn't have much choice in anything. You make the decisions for it. You owe it to treat it well for being a part of your wish. Dogs will show you respect if you respect the dog. In all honesty I am sad to see this video and some of the handling here. Some dogs love shows and some dogs don't like it and would much rather be outside running in a field. Still some owners only care about what they got the dog for. Did you know that animals carry our burdens? Thoughts, aches and pain. They are willing to do anything for you, and this is how we treat them. I am sure the lady on the video loves her dog. She seams like a warm hearted person. Usually people don't think about these things and that's where we go wrong. Please, just because it's a small dog, you shouldn't handle it like you do. Lifting it around and placing it in unatural positions. Would you do the same with a rotweiler? The dog is using it's paw not because it doens't have any respect, but to signalise to you that "I don't like this mom, can you please stop". (btw I say it cause I don't rememeber if they said he or she in th video) I've trained my dog to do alot of things but NEVER with force, only with treats and love. It's never fun to practise something if all you get is negative feedback.Even when this dog stood still it at first, it didn't get anything in return. Would you work on things you hated for someone who did not consider how you feel to get nothing in return? Just think about it please. Animals are not our toys! They are living creatures with their own personalities and they need to be respected and loved for who they are, just like we do. I'm sorry this is long. It's not only about this video. I've seen too many now. Be good to your beloved little friends!

  14. It is amazing how using pain can be so quick and effective. Pressure on the nerves in  the neck gets results so much faster that taking time to teach the dog. It's not really cruel as these dogs are not pets  they are here to win prizes. Awesome.

  16. Our family resently bought a mixed dog, Boxer- mastiff about two years ago. She was an acedental puppy, she has no manners, no good blood lines, she is very dominate and has the worst behavior. Despite that she is beautiful and has some show like qualites in her. I want to work with her and enter her in a mixed class for 4-H just to start off but she is hard to work with. I'm starting to wonder if there is any hope for her if I start working with her now since she is young but has picked up some bad habbits since she has been raised more like a family dog because of the little children in my house. If you could email me that would be great, I need some help! Thank you!
