    Belgian Malinois
    Doberman
    Catahoula leopard dog
    Jack Russell terrier
    Jag terrier
    ..it's sad that people think only big dogs are capable of keeping up…I've met many smaller working breeds that are 100% capable of out running people.

  7. American Pit Bull Terrier can carry own dog backpack, has massive amounts of stamina, will not run off from wild animals, hardy and sticks by your side. That's first choice. Too bad you could not come up with your own reasons as to why you picked those 10 dogs.

  13. Wtf!!! They forgot the Australian Kelpie!!! They have insane endurance and can handle the heat for the most part and they also stay close! Although winter hikes may be a challenge…. i guess bootys and a fur coat may be needed!

  15. karerilian bear dog blue heeler mix I've hitched hiked and bicycle trailer rode mine for 3 and a half years on the road n the US we have covered 10s of thousands of miles together obedient HIGHLY intelligent quite when ninja camping and when we're n the wilderness she sometimes gets me dinner

  17. Vizsla's are great hiking dogs, mine was like a mountain goat and because they are the Velcro Vizsla, they hang right with you! for off leash hiking. Mine was a great swimmer, hardy in a Colorado glacial lake (in the summer)

  20. U should have put Bison Frise because my bison frise loves to hike, and there the perfect companion for old ppl hikeing.
    ( BTW I always take my bison frise hiking and she always enjoys it climbing over big rocks and stuff)

  21. large breeds can't walk for shit when thay hit about 10 years old they are pretty much dun best to get a small dog my jack russell is 10 and can still run all day

  23. The APBT has way more stamina than all of the breeds on here. not to mention very​ loyal and intelligent dogs so more than likely will follow you or wait for you when their a little ahead.
