This transpired in Jackson California at my son’s dr office. I noticed the glimpse in its eyes when it walked in and I grabbed my leash and my camera…I knew crap was going to go down. I am seriously finding fed up with pretend service canines. Sheriff’s on the way.

A bit of again story I experienced not shared but I will now. When I moved listed here I used for the service doggy tags for the service canines (I handed my issue genetically to two of my a few young children and the third has unrelated clinical difficulties). I went in to animal regulate to volunteer to guide them and at that time the supervisor started off grilling me about my rottweiler service doggy (that was with me at that minute correct in front of him).

He instructed me I experienced to meet certian needs that are opposite to what the legislation suggests and I politely declined and presented to get him a duplicate of the guidelines. Then he stated rottweilers are vicious, risky canines that don’t belong in public inspite of my dog’s clearly very well properly trained and ideal behavior correct in front of him. Thereafter my software for service doggy tags got “missing” for two decades. I only recieved the tags when they needed to later ticket me for not possessing licences on the canines and I essentially dared them to do it…I experienced the proof of what they experienced finished and in front of a decide was Accurately where by I needed to be at that minute. I experienced the tags in the 7 days.

The point listed here is that this female and this doggy supported and licensed all that BS that the supervisor spouted and strengthened his perspective about rottweilers (which as much as I know, he is continue to in that placement above there). It also supports and certifies the perspective folks have about proprietor properly trained service canines- that they are essentially untrained. I was specified a incredibly tricky time and risked tickets, court docket, and potentially other sanctions (lead to you know currently being correct won’t generally help save you- it must but it won’t generally)…due to the fact of folks just like her. I am specified a tricky time out in public, prompted anxiety and angst and even damage to my clinical issue due to the fact of folks just like her. What provides her the correct?

This online video reveals incredibly clearly, between other points, that it isn’t really the breed as a entire for ANY breed that is currently being targeted. Mine is a rotty much too….extra pure rotty than hers will at any time be- all of mine have been….nevertheless mine was not aggressive or risky at all, any of them. It is all about the deficiency of correct instruction and deficiency of intelligent managing. Some folks ought not possess rotties, some folks ought not possess canines at all.

To see the aftermath of a further attack go to my mate Aubrey at her doggy was actually attacked but not hurt terribly mere days soon after mine was threatened.

  3. ok I'm all for service dogs but there is one thing a truly disabled person will tell you and I've heard it from many of them as well as from organizations that are not lawmakers or law enforcement.
    1. OWNERS CAN NOT TRAIN SERVICE ANIMALS UNLESS THEY ARE CERTIFIED TO DO SO.
    2. THERE ARE NO SUCH THINGS AS SERVICE DOGS "IN TRAINING" THEY EITHER ARE A SERVICE ANIMAL OR THEY AREN'T. PERIOD.
I'm sorry if this offends you or anybody but it is the truth. look it up. you may be disabled and need a service animal, if you are get a tried service animal from a certified professional, you can not train your own. you are just as much in the wrong as the other person with their dog that "Just has a vest on and really isn't a service animal" because your dog also is also just a dog with a vest on, not properly trained. just bc u got its tags doesn't mean it was properly trained, the only reason the tags were given to you, more than likely, is because you pestered and pestered them until they finally gave them to you bc they were sick of you reapplying. not being rude it's just the truth.

  8. Windchyme please correct me if I'm wrong, you don't have a problem people who have disabilities training their own service dogs. You just have issues with owners not having properly trained dogs because of the stresses and problems it cause you and your family. I have trained my own service dog to help me with anxiety and panic attacks due to my PTSD. He would pass all of the assistant dogs Internationals criteria with the exception of reacting to other dogs. I've never had a peer group to train him with, do you have any tips or suggestions for getting him not to react to other dogs while on duty? I would appreciate any advice it seems like you have alot of experience with training.

  9. So Quick question. My dog is in training. hes only 7 months old right now and is perfect in every situation except other dogs. he flips out. way worse then this dog did but hes not aggressive he just really wants to say hi and barks like crazy until he can sniff the other dog. Now I am working on getting to not bark but it takes time and sometimes I take him to a bank or a restaurant and not know another dog is there and yeah. He usually can calm down after hes been in the area with the dog for about 5 or so minutes. but its that first encounter. But with all this said and done I feel someone would assume my dog is aggressive call him a fake service dog and I don't think thats fair because hes has a little barking issue that I am currently working on. Hes still in training. idk. it could have been fake but I know mine is not and i'm so scared of getting yelled at.

  10. The second I noticed that dog non-stop staring at the dog I knew it wasn't a service dog. There should be serious fines for people who lie about their dogs being a service dog.

But on the other hand you can't just buy a service dog vest right? It has to be issued or something? At least thats what I imagine

  13. Why did you think it was a dog pretending to be a service dog? It doesn't have a service dog tag and stuff so in the video, the aggressive one seems like a normal dog to me

  17. honestly, why does she have him between her knees? that's a clear red flag. Then the growling – service dogs are taught to be passive. That is not a dog in training; they are taught to be in control before they leave the trainers. Seriously, they should make those that have actual service dogs carry around a card to prove the dog is a legitimate service dog, including the doctors name/address that approved it and a state/city code on it (do they not already do this?), like our license. I'm not saying this against actual service dogs, I'm saying this in against of those that fake it – you're putting the real service dogs in major harms way and the patient they are caring for.

  21. 5months after losing our german shepherd, we decided to get another dog. my daughter was 3. losing ozzie1 almost destroyed her.
now we have ozzie2, a rotty cross retriever – so if we get burgled he'd probably kill the burgler but at least he'd bring us the body. he is a soft as sh1t, unless he senses my daughter or i feel threatened. then he goes into protection mode…
    not all rotties are bad.
