  12. Good vests, thegoodieshack (etsy, facebook) one tigris (online)

For the booties put them on before you feed him and let him wear them while he's eating and then if he has a favorite toy after he's eating just like let him play with that favorite toy while he's wearing the booties so he'll be more OK about it

  13. Hi. I am trying to find a service pup but having a difficult tie deciding on one because I'm not sure if I'm over looking the pups aloofness. Could you tell me some tips on picking the right one please?

  14. They have a cream you can put on there paws to prevent cold and hot from hurting them. My service dog uses it she loves it. Try it out its called mushers 🙂

  15. Try prompreece boots on Amazon. They are a cheaper version of ruff wear boots but work wonderful. They are not expensive and have very good rubber soles. They have Only fallen off twice since I have owned them, it was my fault for not tightening them enough.

  16. Hi! i'm Kris and I am getting a service dog in 4 more months. Do you recommend getting gear in advance or saving money for the actual thing ( financial issues)

  18. I had those boots for my border collie, they never stayed on (he has special paws), I got the rough wear boots for my birthday, they actually stay on which is great. Ace isn't a SD, he's just a pet, but his pads ripped off due to poor nutrition when we rescued him, so his boots were for playing, they stayed on while running at full force. Only complaint is they are high and can rub on his dew claws.

  19. Have you ever looked into ruffwear's pro purchase program? You can apply if you have a working dog, and they give you a generous 50% off of all purchases 😊 I just bought a ton of stuff, and the discount is really helpful! Best of luck to you and Cowboy 💜

  20. i had the same problem with my dogs boots and a problem with them rubbing as well. i use socks and they help a ton. (no use in buying expensive dog socks, i went to walmart and picked up some newborn baby socks and they work just as well)

  21. I love our tactical dog vest from Onetigris. I got the one with mesh down the sides because it's very hot where I live. The entire length of the back is soft velcro so there's lots of room for patches, and my favorite part is the molle webbing down the sides that lets me attach pouches, water bowls, doggie bags, etc. I'm looking into a pouch that will let him carry his own water bottle.

They are pretty expensive but very well made. I got ours from a different seller on amazon and it had three pouches included, which was great. I paid about $8 per pouch as opposed to about $12-$20 brand.

  25. Oh & a tiny tip from one owner trainer to another-> when using the squeaker, add the command "look" or "focus" as well as a visual que such as pointing to your nose. eventually, you can remove the squeaker and keep the verbal/ visual ques. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU BOTH! -Smoky Paws service dog team
