Fantastic example of how I train all of my pet dogs to respond off-leash. These are just puppies so of training course they nevertheless obtained a good deal of do the job to do, but even so they are evidently displaying that they are properly on their way to being extremely properly behaved. Blondie and midnight are four months aged and velocity is virtually six months aged.

  1. I am thankful for ur wisdom. " not letting them do as a puppy what you don't want the adult version of them too do" … good stuff very helpful/monumental

  2. I really like your channel. I myself are afraid of big dogs like these. But when I see your videos i wonder if the reason why some dogs are “bad” is because of the lack of the human not training them. Maybe I’m wrong.

  3. Is it me? Or does Blondie look like she's getting a little bigger than midnight?

  4. Another great vid. Yes, camera work caused a little vertigo but worth it to see "real life" corrections like that. Seemed a little risky to have all 3 offleash in a new area but u handled it, showcased your skills and importance of the fundamental control u have w them. I would have been running after them like a madman… I know many many dog owners who can not accomplish same response offleash with even 1 fully grown dog in a familiar area, after years of "training".

  7. I like a quicker response time. Obviously they are learning lol but what I did was tie bailing twine to the collar. Bailing twine is super light and you can get it as long as you want. But I would let the dogs run around and when I said their name I would gently tap on the line to break their attention and get them focus on me calling them. If I had to, I would say their name and pull them in almost and get even more excited the closer they got or gave them their ball or something to show them I want to hang out with them and that sometimes/randomly I have fun stuff to play with lol. That worked out well and also I get closer to them each time I have to say a command until they can focus with more distance between us.
Thoughts on this btw? Pros/cons? I love learning! 😁

They are getting so big! Seeing them next to velocity was.. wow 😳

  8. What is the best way to calm your dog down in new surroundings when they just want to pull and sniff like crazy?

  11. How do you train a dog off leash that has a high prey drive? There's a lot of squirrels and small animals around my place and my dog has a high prey drive

  19. my 6 month old boston terrier puppy doesn’t respond to praise at all and she doesn’t really liked being touched unless she’s sleepy. she’s been in and out of shelters and foster homes since she was about a month and a half, when someone dropped her off (who bought her for hundreds from a purebred breeder) just because she has epilepsy. she’s never really been shown love i guess, so she doesn’t know how to recognize it? idk. she also has no interest in training, she just wants the treats and will do anything to get them, bark, bite, jump even though i’ve made it clear to her time and time again that she only gets a treat when she earns it and in a polite manner using my older dog, decently trained, to show her how polite he is. and in the moment she copies him but if he’s not around she acts up and tries to bite my hand to get it. i’m really concerned because i don’t want a disrespectful high energy dog and i would like to do higher training with her like off-leash, agility, and basic obedience but i really don’t know how to get through to her and get her to retain the things I’m teaching her.
