  3. I have a male yorkie and a male cockapoo, 7yrs apart. They for the most part get along great, but in the past year my Yorkie would become aggressive and attack the older dog. My oldest would often submit almost immediately as he is the sweetest dog. Now he's tired of it and now fights back. Used to, this spat would last a few days and then quit as suddenly as it started. Now it's lasting for months. I now keep my yorkie in a harnest with a short dangling leash. I also use a water bottle. I have found when he starts growling and in attack mode I can just yank his leash quickly (my other dog never attacks but he will defend if contact is made) he will now often almost stop immediately, if after telling him a couple of times to stop, and I mean stop completely, growling and all, I'll shoot him with a water. this is an immediate stop for him. Most of these fights occur in the bedroom, when he suddenly decides my older dog isn't allowed on the bed. They can eat out of the same food bowl, don't fight over the bones, go in/out of doorways together. …but when it comes to my room or my bed, every once in awhile it's suddenly an issue, even if they're on it together for hours at the same time, all of a sudden my yorkie gets pissy about it. Weird. Thank goodness it's not too often or over every little thing because I love them both to pieces.

  5. I have same problem with my male intact teacup chihuahua 3 lbs but he growls and attacks first our male Great Dane who has passed over the rainbow bridge but now have a intact male 20month Mastweiler and since Mastweiler still has puppy brain he wants to play but gets very excited. Don't know what will happen when male Mastweiler is mature because he will top off at about 160 lbs. Tried everything to stop chihuahua I think I am going to have to go to a shock color for small dogs.

  6. I live in Idaho, and have two female Boson's 1yr and 3yr, and 1 male Boston 2 yrs old. I brought home my youngest female at 8 weeks of age and my female Boston love her like she was her own. Around 9 months of age I noticed my older female getting more and more irritated with her. Now, there have been 4-5 violent fights and I can no longer have them in the same room together. The last fight left both dogs bloody and my hand badly bit. (I was trying to pull the oldest dog off the younger and she bit me). They will even attack the glass door when the see each other.

  7. These are absolutely great suggestions. Take his advice! Another thing that can help is muzzling both aggressive dogs while you're there. But you'll first have to get them acquainted with the muzzle.
    Thanks for the video!

  10. I'm having this problem with my female dogs. They tend to be fine on their own but usually when my mother (their main owner) comes around they start to fight with each other. It's gotten to the point that the 2 more aggressive dogs have to be kept in 2 different rooms so they don't end up fighting. They end up getting all worked up because they are not with the family and when we have to switch places they end up attacking each other.

My mother is trying to breed both of them at the same time so I'm sure that isn't going to help things much either.

  13. Dear Ty The Dog Guy,
I have a similar problem, but with two dogs both are from the same liter and we bought them at the same time. I am trying to train both of these dogs to be our service dogs because my mother and i are both disabled and need a service dog. Although we cant get them to stop fighting each other, like u said there is an aggressor (Nikita / Dog 1) and an agressie (Mogli / Dog 2). Most of the time Dog 1 is always trying to fight Dog 2, we have ordered another cage (to put them in over night because they arent potty trained yet) and we are going to put them in separate rooms but they seem to have a nervous break down without each other in sight. Please help.

  14. We have 2 female dogs about 3 years of age 100 pounds about. We also got a brand new boy puppy dog. Ever since we got the puppy the 2 females have tried to kill each other. These fights have happen only twice but I'm tired of cleaning up blood and having not only the puppy see the aggression but also my kids crying. I have know idea how to brake up the dog fights, or get them to stop fighting.

  17. Almost nothing stops our two male dogs if they go at it. They lived safely together for months before their fight and now we have to separate them permanently or they will kill each other. Nothing works including yelling or placing anything between them since they will not let go of each other to put something in between them. The only thing that has ever worked is if they redirect and bite one of us. It separates them just long enough to grab one of them and leave the area. My wife spent an hour in the ER last night with a nasty bite on her finger. They are both small dogs but the damage they inflict can be very serious. If someone forgets to shut a door and they see each other then the fight is on instantly.

  18. Males always seem to fight because of territorial issues. One always is fighting to be alpha male. I have this issue for 6 monthhs and still do

  20. So I have this pomchi dog as seen in my pic and he's always been like alone with no other dogs living with him. And it was fine but he barked aloot from people leaving the house entering the house etc. But when my grandparents stayed at my house for a visit, they had brought a dog with them. That dog also lived alone. But right away it was a mess. They both just wanted to kill each other. After a while I separated them and tried to introduce them with a calmer state. They seemed to get along and that was great. But the new dog has developed this rage towards my dog. he starts these random fights and my dog doesnt want to fight back he just runs and screams. I really want them to get better. I tried to stop one of their fights and got attacked on the arm. They are separated right now but I need help
