  4. great video, I have recently got a border collie 14 months old off a family who didn't have the time for her anymore. the only thing they taught her was sit. In the last month i have taught her to lay down, stay, wait for her food till i say, and when im about to cross the road she will sit and wait till i say come on. The only thing i have problems with is the Up command, I have tried the tips in this video but nothing she will just stay laid down on the floor. any ideas please

  6. Love your videos! We are training our 11 week husky puppy Laika now and she is such a smart girl. We have a solid sit and pretty good stay. However, I can't seem to lure her into "down" …she just stands up and lowers her head. Any suggestions?

  7. Zak  great vid, but you skipped the "sit" portion, pointing out that Kelsey worked with him on that. We didn't see that.  I guess you're assuming that people will use the "lure" technique to teach their dogs to sit but it would have been helpful to show exactly what Kelsey did since "Sit" is the first word you used in your title.

  17. this is an old video I know, but this is a video that still works. tonight I sat with my full blooded lab who is about a year old. we have NEVER BEEN able to get her to sit or come when she was called or anything. she was hyper and you couldn't hardly pet her without getting frustrated. it took me about 15 or 20 minutes after watching this video to have her sitting, laying down, and standing back up on command. just take the time to work with the dog and they'll come around. thanks for making this video! it really works!

  29. I don't know what to do with mine.. I tried doing it your way and it isn't working, she just looks at me or goes and lays down.. I have tried the technique where you kind of collapse there back legs so they sit, she stays when I do that but when I tell her again she won't do it.. I have been trying for awhile and it's not working.. so you have any other ideas for me..?

    Thank you!
