  8. Hey. 🙂 Ive been doing ALOT of research about dogs because im thinking of getting one. I dont have much experience with dogs, been walking different dogs/breeds since i was little but never owned one myself. And i really want a dog that wants to join me on hikings hours a day, and is easy to train. So ive been doing some extra research about the border collie.. But some say it isnt a good first dog, and some say they cant stay at home alone for like 6-8 hours a day since they will go crazy.. So i was wondering what u thought about the border collie as a first dog? 🙂

  23. I don't think the dogs look fat? They just have fur if you know what that is. They look like in normal size. Not to fat or to thin.

  24. Venus can do it all, i love the 3-disc throw!

  25. you really should not try to assess body condition on a video NANCY. You can only accurately assess body conditions by putting your hands on the dog. Their hair adds a lot of "fluff" and can lead you to believe there is more weight on the dog than there actually is.

  33. Sorry, no. The medical evidence is MIXED. There are benefits and costs — BOTH — of spaying before a first heat.

  36. you start training frisbee from the puppy age and it is absolutely nonsensical to wait until they are fully grown, as long as you are responsible enough to keep the dog off the ground (i.e throwing rollers) and getting it interested in frisbee you are fine.

    Reply
  37. they are never too young to play frisbee but you have to start with rollers and build up to throws and flips and stuff over time as she grows.

  38. dont listen to this it is COMPLETELY FALSE, there is no difference between spaying before and after except that after may result in your dog becoming more aggressive later on if you wait until after the first heat. I play canine frisbee and ive never known any handler or trainer to have ever done this or suggest it. On the contrary most vets reccommend you spay your dog before its first heat so that the hormones do not have any impact on your dogs behavior.

  39. you must have a lot of frisbees

  40. What kind of frisbee do you use?

  41. If you neuter her before she had her fist heat you'll have to wait about a year. (because early neutered dogs keep growing longer (and often taller). They also have more problems with their bones and general development if neutered early so if you really want to do serious frisbee playing you should let her go through one heat.
Otherwise shortly after her first heat.
