  2. I'm not going to lie. I could not hold in the laughter. You guys were setting the final details of that cage set up WHILE that kitten was climbing Rebekah. 😂😂😂😂 And then everybody was asking, "how did they get out?!" Kittens are climbing monsters. Y'all could use those same panels to set up an enclosure that has a top on it. Heavy duty zip ties or small bungi cords wrapped tight should hold up the top panels long enough to get them grown up a little. But the more supervised time they can spend free range outside the earlier they will find the joy of hunting to get out that extra energy. Ahh, kittens…

  9. Why don't you let the cats roam the house? They are cats and just want to check new stuff out
.Show them where the box is and they will go there to go to the bathroom. Cats are easy. Dogs aren't. You could leave your cats in the house for a couple of days with food and water and they will be fine. Check out stuff about cats on the computer. You are making it harder on yourself then you need to.

  10. Justin you might consider tiling your garden. It would let the excess water drain off to a lower point.

  11. Here in NH coyotes are a huge killer of cats — keep a close eye on those cats; even as adults. I would definitely bring them in at night.

  21. Just something to know about barn cats…they like to die. I hate to say, because I get so attached to all of mine. But I've learned to always get more than I would really want to keep and one or two will survive for at least a while. Between hawks, owls, coyotes, and cars, the odds are stacked against them. I also have learned to remind the kids of the possibility so that they are better prepared when their favorite disappears. Just a sad reality on the farm :'(
I sure hope your little fuzzballs do better than most!

  25. Buy a poncho. I have one of those kinda cheap ones that I use on my chores in the rain. It's easier than holding an umbrella & trying to do everything one-handed

  26. The kittens are still babies and need to be warm and dry. If you let them grow up in the house a bit it will in no way impact their mousing ability as adults and I'll bet that little mermaid would love to sleep with a purring soft ball of fur.

  27. Why are you digging a trench in the wood chips? You're messing up the system! Nature doesn't make a trench until it needs it!
