  1. For the love of God each dog is different some are motivated by food and some by toys and some by just positive reinforcements. Just do what works for you.

  3. Another valuable clip… a dog is a lower animal that must be conditioned to not be abandoned. A dog with problems is turned away from and then abandoned. The OWNER controls all that … the dog is a helpless animal. You do NOT have a 'dog problem' …. you have a 'you' problem… not knowing how and doing what is needed.

  5. Larry don't be so sensitive. Never ever excuse yourself. People love whining. Keep your head up, you know what you do.

  6. Sitting here clapping my hands. I get crap for using food, yet have trained all ways. Most importantly lets just get the dogs trained so they don't end up in shelters due to bad behaviour and untrained dogs. Thanks for this Larry. It needed saying : )

  7. I just finished the No Bad Dog podcast episode you did and really liked it. I’ve been watching your videos for over a year and had no idea you were Homeland Security.

  10. I want to be a trainer like you one day – not arrogant enough to refuse to learn from others and looking at situations level headed

  12. I get lots of dogs who been failed by other trainers because the dog is this or that and they've "tried everything". I don't get into a discussion, I just say "watch" and just show them. The results speak for themselves and then the client is all "show me how you did that".

  13. A tool is a tool. Any tool can be used incorrectly, or correctly. In any case, it's about the dog and what works for him.
