We all went to the agility subject now! It was a warm day! I am not certain but it experienced to be in the 80’s. To numerous of you that is pleasant, but to us it is warm! πŸ™‚

We worked on the bang activity with the teeter. Twix is truly getting it. He is not fearful of the sounds it tends to make or the motion. Awesome!

Bandit did some agility, frisbee, played ball, and did some tips.
Isabelle searched for gophers and did the weaves.
Twix, did all the things that Bandit did in addition to the teeter.

They were being weary pups when I acquired household. Of course, I love weary joyful dogs! πŸ™‚

Have a great day!

Pam, Isabelle, Bandit & Twix

  1. @TheBushBum She does look kind of like a New Zealand Huntaway, but she is a Siberian Husky/Shepherd with Rottie down in her genetics, too. She is a great dog! Super SWEET! πŸ™‚

  6. Looking really good. I am still working with Blossom and the teeter. My problem is I don't have a full size avaliable, I really need to invest in just the base I have a board and a base my dad made, but it is barely six inches off the ground and doesn't bang the same way as the real thing. She is fine with the movement, but the noise still bothers her a bit. The one the scares her the most is at an indoor facility and she is getting better. She has made a lot of process from teeter games.

  7. @PaulaFlanin Thank you! Im just out there having fun with my best friends! They all have their special qualities. Bandit & Twix love tricks & agility while Isabelle loves hiking/walks, hunting gophers, and chilling. Well Twix & Bandit love walks too, but they would rather do agility & tricks. πŸ™‚ They take whatever the can. πŸ™‚

  10. @LilosCrazyLife You are in better shape than me, you could probably keep up with a running contact. I just turned 42 and got old all of a sudden. YIKES, when did that happen! LOL!

  11. @pamelamarxsen lol, hahahaha, ya 2o2o would prob be better for lilo, cuz she is fast too, lol i run my butt off trying to keep up with her lol. hahhahaaha, Enjoy your Vaca!!!!! always looking forward to move videos! =)

  12. @LilosCrazyLife Well, Isabelle has running contacts, but she is slow and I can keep up. I have a 2o2o with Bandit and Twix because they are fast and I might need them to stop so I can figure out where the heck I need to be next on the course! LOL! I was just messing around with the clear target that I have for the nose touch and Twix will run to it on the ground. I just need to make a decision and stick with it. I might also try the mat that I used to train Bandit's 2o2o. Im on vacation!!

  13. @pamelamarxsen lol well if you come up with something please let me know =) im thinking once lilo has been on all the equipment, i want to do running contacts…. but i heard that even harder to train? what do you think about running contacts? have you trained them before? Lilo is FAST and i dont really want to lose any of that speed stopping for a 2o2o… lol what do you think is better?

  14. @LilosCrazyLife Yes, or I could stop being so lazy and just teach drive to a target and touch it with his nose. I taught Bandit to drive to a mat, because I never have liked the nose targeting. I am not sure why I do not like it, it is supposed to be good to shift his weight forward to prevent injury. But for some reason, I feel it would cause more injuries, possibly to the neck or head, so I just do not want to do it. It is what every trainer says I should do. I should invent a new way!

  16. @bravescatz Yes, that is what my trainer wants me to do too. For some reason, I can't seem to get him to target and stay there. Maybe I will try it again. I really did not try that hard. πŸ™‚ I'm LAZY! πŸ™

  18. @pamelamarxsen hahah your welcome, =P… you could use anything that would just prevent his butt from spinning,, maybe put a few jump bars on a jump and place it on the side, so if he trys to spin then his bum will bump the bars and he'll realize he cant =) then he'll get the idea of what you want the same as working on a wall =)

  19. Pamela, what about teaching him to target with his nose to keep his head down before the release for reward? The head down is what I learned at a seminar to keep the weight shift where you want it to prevent injuries. It's what Susan Garrett's babies do.;-) Touch, touch touch touch until released. I love his excitement for the bang game.

  21. fun! i can't wait tell we start that in class, were working on 2o2o's right now, so i went out and baught me a board, painted it purple with yellow contacts! so now when we do start the teeter alls i need to make is the base! =) i love it, i was having the same prob with lilo tho about her wanted to turn and face me, so i put her on the stairs with her against the wall so she wouldn't turn, only took two sessions and shes pretty much got it 90% fo the time on the board now, =) & GOOO isabelle!!
