  1. You may not be satisfied with it but I have found it very useful and shared it lots too. Have you done a more up-to-date one? One that shows how you can teach a new cue? I have shared this with people who have poisoned a cue as well as people who want to know how to lure a sit and then work through adding a hand cue and a verbal cue

  2. I can get my dog to do sit, down sit and stand. But I have to do it in that order. I can't get her to go from stand to down. or down from sit. i put her in a sit then use the bait and a hand back from nose to do tbe stand. it's been 2 weeks but she won't do commands if I don't have food either.

  6. Emily my dog knows the clicker but when I put the treat up my puppy jumps instead of placing it's back legs on the floor. How can this be prevented?

  7. This video is so cool. But I have a situation; As for as my Chihuahua pup goes, she does not understand the word sit down, but when I tell her to stay, that is when she sits down and stay. Its that ok?
Also, is there body language when you can understand a little bit of what the pup is feeling? and if so which are they?

  8. Do you need a different release for different behaviors? Could you use "okay" to release from a sit, release from a down, release out the doorway, or do you need a different word?

  13. Hi Kikopup, we have the clicker training down but want to train our dog to come and sit on the whistle too so when we are out or she is far away we still have control. What age should we do this and how? Thanks

  15. How can I make my puppy go "down" When I try and lure him into a down he just backs up and does a bow instead. I always have to lure him into a sit and then make him go down, is that bad?

  18. Question…realistically, how long does it take for a puppy to learn this? I've been doing it for about a week…not much progress when I just ask her later on…Thanks!

  21. @EmeraldAshah you could try Gently pushing down on her back end and then give her the treat

  22. I tried this with my dog, however, I didn't succeed with only putting the treat over her head so that her butt could sit. She just continued to stand on all fours. So what else can I do to make her sit.

  26. @GrafferDusk Our 4 year old Yorkie is in a training class, and I told the trainer my dog automatically sits when he sees either the clicker, or a treat. She said it's okay because once you start to introduce other behavior like down, etc. he/she will learn they don't just sit for a treat or clicker. Does that make sense?

  28. @GrafferDusk Maybe you should teach your dog a "stand" command? You can alternate "sit", "stand" and "down" so your dog will never predict what you are going to do next.
